Blade Farmhouse is an authentic stone-built original Gozitan farmhouse brimming with local flavour, with a serene walled garden, private pool, stunning terrace and proximity to the pretty village of Xaghra.

#### Location
Blade Farmhouse is nestled on the outskirts of the pretty, historic small town of Xaghra (pronounced ‘shara'!), which offers a taste of local life, shops, restaurants and eateries. Just a short distance away, guests can enjoy the spectacular Ramla Beach, considered one of the finest in the archipelago, it's known for its striking red sands, family amenities and water sports.

Gozo is the sister island of Malta, accessible by a 25-minute ferry crossing from Malta, it is the second-largest island in the archipelago, and the second largest of the three inhabited Maltese Islands. With a population of just 37,000 (7,000 of these in the capital Rabat, also known as Victoria), the island covers an area of 26² miles and is known for its historic charm, its slow pace of life and sumptuous seafood. Like Malta in years gone-by, Gozo offers authentic local village life, original fishing villages and local crafts and endless stretches of coastline with clear, calm waters.

Xaghra is known for its rich history and heritage; home to the extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage Ggantija temple complex, consisting of two Neolithic stone temples built from as early as 3600BC (among the oldest freestanding stone buildings in the world), it also offers local piazza life and sumptuous seafood eateries. The Ta' Kola Windmill is a restored eighteenth-century windmill, with an original mechanism and restored miller's living quarters, it makes for a fascinating visit and insight into the island's industries.

From any spot on the island of Gozo, the sea is no more than ten minutes away, and the gentle currents offer ideal conditions for diving, fishing and sea kayaking. Ramla Beach is known for its red sands and is one of the island's finest, while trips out on boat trips to the surrounding islands make for stunning days out.

The capital of Gozo, Victoria (also known as Rabat), offers a bustling and colourful array of local culture, plazas and flower-filled terraces to watch the world go by, historical sites and summer open-air concerts.
